Sometimes pet owners or future pet owners need a little help in some form or another. House training, establishing good manners in your puppy, litter training you kitten, proper cage care, introducing a rescue pet into your household, or even which pet is best for my family and I? That's where Lori's Consulting services can give you a step up to becoming a responsible pet owner. She'll come to your home in many cases and guide you through whatever pet concerns you may have.


Pre-Pet Selection Consulting:

Includes an initial home visit to evaluate your needs, wants and life-style, printed suggestions on what type of pet would best fit into your life, guidelines on what each
of those pets' care would entail, and possible costs and suggestions on where to look for your new pet. Also may include a temperment evaluation of the pet.

Listing of Breeders/Rescues $10.00
Trip to shelters, or breeders as consultant $20.00 per trip


Bringing home a new pet:

Consulting on how to introduce a new pet to your home and/or current pets - includes pre-arrival home visit, guidelines on supplies and equipment needed for new pet, and possible second visit for initial bringing home of pet. Follow-up call after pet's arrival.

Bringing home baby:

Consulting on how to introduce your new baby to the pet in your life. Includes intial home visit to meet the pet and evaluate needs, suggestions on proper procedures to make everyone feel comfortable, guidelines on what to expect from your pet and follow up calls in one week and one month after arrival.

In - home Care/behavior modification:

In-home visits to help with house training, manners, correcting bad behavior and good pet leadership and owner skills. Basic Obediance to proper feeding techniques. Initial visit to evaluate needs.

Initial Evaluation (1 hr-2 hr) $60.00
one - three scheduled weekly 1 hr sessions $60.00 each
four - eight sessions (pre-paid) $50.00 each
nine or more sessions (pre-paid) $45.00 each

Classes Available:

Puppy Kindergarten : For puppies 8-21 weeks of age. Critical period of their growth for establishing good socialization skills with people and other dogs. Also covers basics of good manners, basic puppy care, and house training. Lots of free playtime. Classes are limited to eight puppies and they must be current on vaccinations suitable for their age.

6 weekly sessions $60.00

Canine Good Citizen Prep: Prep for taking the test to receive the AKC title for visiting nursing homes, schools, hospitals, etc... Should have some basic good behavior and/or have some obediance training.

5 weekly sessions with test $60.00
Testing only $20.00

Groom Your Own Pet: Learn to brush, bathe, clean ears,brush teeth & cut nails on your own pet. You can even learn to cut your own pet's hair. Use our tubs and equipment.

Basic Pet Grooming- Initial session and review in two weeks $ 75.00

Styling Your Pet- Must complete a Basic Pet Grooming Class
Hands-on Instruction for 2 grooms,
one month apart $200.00
